Will anyone who believes in God please pray for my daughter who died last night age 51,im sorry to ask but i find it very hard to believe in any God,she was a good person who never hurt anyone in her life.

Heart-felt condolences, Gordonsveg, nothing can prepare for this, and it don't seem right for parents to out-live their children.
hugs and best wishes from us both.

Gordon, life can sometimes be really really sh!tty, nothing is going to ease your pain for a long time, but knowing people love you and are there for you will in time help I hope. I had an awful bereavement this summer and I still feel sick in my heart every day, nothing anyone says or does can take the place of the person you love and has died and it's hard to explain the empitness inside. Just know you are not alone. x

This is what I read at the funeral.

Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other
That we are still
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way you always used
Put no difference into your tone
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we always enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was
Let it be spoken without effort
Without the ghost of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolute unbroken continuity
What is death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well.

this is for you mate i am not big on god and stuff but hope it helps in some way .

Its hard to express how much I miss you
How I think of you each time I awake
How each day stretches endlessy onwards
How much more can this broken heart take

I knew from the moment I saw you
Just how much a dad could love
That day you came into my heart
And I thanked the dear lord up above

But now you have been taken away
The house seems so empty and bare
Each room is a constant reminder
And I still hear your foot on the stair

Now all I have left is a memory
But I thank the dear lord up above
For giving what seemed for a short time
A wonderful daughter to love

I haven't answered before because it is so difficult to say the right thing.  Really I can't think what I would want to hear but it just makes me feel so sad.  I suppose the best thing I can say is talk to us here and we will listen.  People do care a lot.
