I know this isn't technically computers or internet but I didn't know where else to put it!
I've recently taken up a contract with O2 and got my PAC from T-Mobile to transfer the number across. I was told it would happen today and that I'll lose service temporarily whilst it happens, which is fine. Thing is, the number seems to have been ported in the last couple of hours and I turned off my phone and turned it on again but now both phones are working on the same number! I thought once it was picked up on O2, the T-Mobile would 'stop' at the same time? Also, I seem to be getting the odd text through but cannot get any sent out. Is this normal and am I being impatient or has something gone wrong? When I ported from Orange to T-Mobile, it was smooth sailing and all happened within about ten minutes, lol.

I think the two phone thing will sort itself out - it just sounds like one side of the process is ahead of itself.
IIRC you need to now speak to O2 to register it properly on their network - they will then send you a text with some settings which you have to accept for messaging to work correctly. If you have already had that then ring them up - I have always found o2 telephone support to be pretty good..
Thank you, BN. I think I was just being impatient, lol. I was more concerned about the number working on two phones but as you said, one was lagging behind the other. It's all sorted out now and working fine :)
