I've grown some ornamental gourds this year and I couldn't believe how well one in particular did. It's the one in the bucket and on the scarecrow's lap - at least 25 on ONE PLANT! :o
I wish my butternuts had been as productive!

(My grandchildren are going to make mini-halloween lanterns with some of them)
the lanterns sound like a lovely idea Squash!
And BTW do your scarecrows have names and if so who is holding the gourds? !

I tried the Snake and Russian Doll variants and have next to nothing. Hardly worth the effort. They were planted in the manure pile and still failed to produce the goods. ::) ::)

That's a bit corny :D
Cute lap of bubbles! There must be many things to do with those gourds. Looks like fun ahead.
