Hi EJ,
Are all chilli plants massively tall. Or would they fit in a cold frame?
What's the shortest one and do you think it would survive in a CF?

Thanks,
Sarah-b

I think mine would all be too big for a cold frame as my 'Long Thai' now stands 4 foot tall.  I bet you can get shorter more stocky plants, and I don't see why they wouldn't be okay in a coldframe.  Mine spent spring and summer in my greenhouse and have only come into the conservatory now to finish ripening and because I am trying to experiment to see if I can keep them going all winter long.

Hi Sarah-b

I have a mini chilli that might suit you ! Haven't a clue what it's called, but it has a very dwarf habit. Approx 6" x 6", grown in a 6" pot !

Here's a pic.

Hi MD,
Do you think it would go OK in a cold frame? If so, then I would be very interested in having a few seeds to try.

Thanks,
Sarah.

Want some cayenne in exchange?

Those that pm'ed and emailed for chilli seeds, they flopped into the letter box this morning.  Hope they arrive safely and grow as good for you next year as mine have grown this!

One thing....as I sorted the seeds and put them into the envelopes, I didn't really think, but of course, my fingers started to tingle, and as I liked the envelope WOWZERS!  My tongue was on fire!!  hehehe, that'll teach me.
