hi folks
been for a blood test on tues, think i have gout!!!  big toes hurt, feet sore, cant walk, just limping around. go for result fri pm, this old age is cr@p,.... 69 .... wish i was young again.

Sorry to hear that Jim.  No more rhubarb for you then if the test come back positive.  There are folks on the forum with gout or who have family members with gout.  This is a fairly recent thread:

My son suffered from a bout of gout when he was 30 so it is not necessarily an old persons disease.  He now takes Allopurinal medication to stop its re-occuring.

I am on the same medication but I was in my fifties when I first got it.

Osteo arthritis?  That's what I have (op pending very shortly), my friend said it was gout on account of all the wine I drink, my next door neighbour said it was as bunion, but the doc said they were both wrong.  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Anywaay, I'll be glad to be rid of the pain  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

medication?
one of mine can cause joint pain and I have osteo arthritis  :o ::)
