Post by: reddyreddy on October 10, 2009, 09:49:35
all my pots had scab this year and this morning I got a T&M catalogue arrive advertising this Brimstone, anyone tried it? Or are there better ways to treat your soil to avoid scab.

Is this a rather expensive T&M way of buying sulphur?  Calling it 'rapide' ::) ::)

Found this much cheaper.  If you want to mix it with clay I am sure you will find a way.

If you want to mix it with clay I am sure you will find a way.  But be careful what else you mix it with!!!!

A chap tried to sell it to us at the Whitchurch potato fair a few years ago, but we hadn't had scab so didn't buy any.  I bet the T&M is more expensive, though.

Quotegiving your seed potatoes a sunburn on purpose is an excellent way to prevent potato scab.
