I had to use up a pumpkin that had bird-pecked skin. Made a huge vat of the soup and a big tray of the cake. Both are yum!

Thanks for those ceres, having a halloween party for 40, (why oh why did I say yes to the daughter?!) and need ideas to use up the pumpkins we will be carving! They both sound great.

I also have recipes for pumpkin scones and a boiled pumpkin fruitcake, which I can copy if you are interested. We eat a lot of pumpkin in Australia as you can see!
Ceres, thankyou for those recipes, they went down a storm! :-) The pumpkin cake was especially delish!
I made them both last weekend and both were lovely! Thanks, ceres.
