Title: Sweet potato question
Post by: caroline7758 on October 07, 2009, 20:17:37
I have a sweet potato with lots of shoots, the longest of which is about a foot long. I also have some that I potted up in the summer then neglected- one of these has a trailing shoot about 18" long, although it only has tiny leaves on the last 12" and bigger leaves nearer the compost. I've also just noticed that it has lots of aphids(?) which seems odd at this time of year. However, my main question is, is there any point keeping any of these or do I need to start again next year?

Nothing lost to keep them going.

It took a year for our slips to do anything worthwhile but they are looking canny now.
