Just in from Caroline...
"Yes, indeed - it's only taken 10 days but they have finally given him a pacemaker this afternoon. My sister says he seem to be okay and is hoping they'll release him on Thursday or Friday.
He'll be very touched by all the messages from everyone on the A4A site. Would you please thank them for me? They sound like a nice bunch and I'm very grateful for the support they've given Dad. Very heartening in trying times.
Many thanks,
Caroline "
And so thanks, 1066, for printing off all the messages for him 8)
Me, I'm sending him a Prezzie from Turkey - a large Evil (Fatima's) Eye on a macrame hanger.....reckon he can hang it round his neck and become the Oldest Swinger in the Cotswolds ::)....pity I couldn't afford a carpet to cushion his fall - NOT that he will fall again, of course. I flew Turkish Airlines & noticed that they've an Evil Eye prominently fixed in the front cockpit.....if it's good enuff to keep an aircraft up in the sky it's gotta be good enuff to keep Tim upright I reckon ;D
thats good news and to have someone keeping an eye on him fantastic ;)
Brilliant news. Once again thanks for letting us know Lish.
Phew! Just hope he takes it easy for a bit!

Tim, when you read this, I've just had a chat with Mary-Rosebud. She's offline for another week or so and wants me to add her very best wishes to you for your homecoming.
=Lishka
Tim I am so pleased to hear you are getting better and can't wait to see you back on here.
Take care and love to Mrs Tim,

Great news
I am having a chuckle too, with heart problems they usually get the dietician to check with the patient about what they eat and how they cook it.
Wanna be a fly on the wall during that interview..........lol
Poor Tim having to eat hospital food. Bet he can teach them a thing or two.

Only just caught up with this, having been away, but so glad to hear that things are heading in the right direction. Best wishes to you, Tim x :)
SO many thanks to SO many for SUCH a piile of wishes. SUCH nice people Special thanks to 1066 & Lishka.
One problem is that Daughter now thinks that she is in charge of everything - something that must be seen to!
In case it is thought that I will now be speeded up, I'm already nagged endlessly about going too fast. Its purpose is to fill in the gaps that my own leaves & which, it is thought, cause a blackout.
Now? Regain the 8 kilos lost, repair the ribs & replace the front teeth!
Lucky the growing season is slowing down.
= Tim
So glad you are back Tim, looks like some good home cooked food is in order!
Repairing the ribs takes time, teeth a bit quicker!
Happy you are are home

It is SO good to see you post Tim!
The pic of the Fatima's Eye is a nice one but I really did want to see it hanging round your neck nestling in your chestal hairs ::)
Ah well..
I'm sure you must still be in considerable discomfort with your ribs and possibly fed up a little with pureed food? Best wishes that it all sorts asap.
Lishka X
Thought of that, Lishka - but you would not want to see my face just now!
And any hairs that I might have had were pulled off by 14 days of ECGs!
Ouch...
Great to see you back on-line Tim. Not all dietitians are bad... :)
So pleased you're back, Tim! There's no place like home, is there? (Why are all hospital mattresses and pillows stuffed with rocks?) Love and best wishes to you and Mrs. Tim. Val xxx
Great to hear you are back home. Well that's a new version of waxing I hadn't heard about before !!
And OUCH re the ribs, OH has broken a few over the years skiing and OUCH again, takes a while, just try not to laugh too much while they are still healing ;)
Speedy recovery to you both
1066
p.s. pleased to hear the post is still working ::)
So pleased that you are back on the site. I can't imagine anything worse than you not being able to cook for yourself. You can always supervise Tim(thats if they will take orders from you in your incapacitated state) ;D .Think of all the time you will have to browse through the seed catalogues.Like I said "Its good to see you back on here Tim"
Great to have you back Tim ;D
Oh, I have just read that you have been in hospital. I thought I hadn't seem any posts from you for a while.
Hope you recover well :)
Great to see your back Tim. ;D ;D ;D
Welcome home Tim!!
I couldn't keep up with the pace of you before your op! Lord only knows what pace you will be going at now ;D
I guess 'hibernation' is the order of the day for the next few months so you enjoy the rest. There is enough of us here on A4A to keep it going during the winter months.
Like you I am planning on resting up for a few months and getting down to writing that book you once asked me to do!
Look after yourself.....Tg
Glad you are back home Tim. I hope those painful ribs soon heal. :-*
