Title: geriatric spring cabbages
Post by: earlypea on October 06, 2009, 08:16:13
I've never left cabbage seedlings so old to plant out before and I'm wondering if it's worth it.

They're standing up very firmly and the seed leaves on half of them are starting to die.  Will they bolt once I plant them out?

I probably won't be able to do it today either because of the lovely rain.

I have always planted out cabbages in the rain.  I thought it was the best time.

I'd do it in light rain, but it was pelting down here yesterday - and I don't have anything waterproof to wear either.

Anyway, do you think they'll bolt?
