Apparently (due to climate change it is said) there is a spate of Violet aphid around.

This aphid is green/yellow in colour and it resides under the leaves of the violet/pansy and can destroy plants.

If you bought your plants recently it might have come with the order, so this is a warning to those who are buying in their winter pansies.....have a look under the leaves before planting.

Cure a fatty acid spray or a systemic insecticide the choice is yours!

Always thought it was birds.  What ever it is seems to like orange ones more than purple.  Ihave given up on the orange.
