:D some thing is eating the flowers on my winter pansies leaves OK any ideas
Thanks
slugs and snails chew on ours :-\
Apparently (due to climate change it is said) there is a spate of Violet aphid around.
This aphid is green/yellow in colour and it resides under the leaves of the violet/pansy and can destroy plants.
If you bought your plants recently it might have come with the order, so this is a warning to those who are buying in their winter pansies.....have a look under the leaves before planting.
Cure a fatty acid spray or a systemic insecticide the choice is yours!

Cabbage moth or winter moth caterpillars.
Always thought it was birds. What ever it is seems to like orange ones more than purple. Ihave given up on the orange.
thanks for all the info!
