Title: Chestnuts.

We have chestnut trees at the back of our plot. The nuts seem very small. Could we gather them up in the cases & compost them?

You'll be forever pulling the seedlings up.  They're like weeds.  Might work if you mash them up with a heavy hammer?

wow, I bet the leaves will bulk it up, Janet..we're waiting to gather all the ones from the bowling green  ;D

Got them at the back of my plot too and all around at home.  The leaves have been coming down for several weeks already, the leaf miner moth makes them go brown and they drop really early down here.
