Missing Presumed Eaten are 1 big Franchi "Tondo Americana", 1 sugar Pie, 1 red kuri, 1 sweet dumpling and 11 Little Gems ;D In the end I made it up to exactly 100 little gems 8)
Wow thats a good haul !!
Thrasher, quite an artsy display you have. You should be feeling great satisfaction just looking at them.
I was thinking of entering them in "The view from the door" competition......no-one said you had to be looking out :D
the arty arrangement is just to make a path through ;D
Love the colours in the first picture, would make a good design for table cloth, table mats or a jigsaw puzzle. Think you are too late for the back door competition but I would haved voted for the originallity and the variety of colours.
What a lovely variety you have there. They look great.........great harvest :D
I'm going to grow more squash next year cos we luv em
Hmm... I'd like to grow some Little Gem for sure... they climb so no space required if I stick a mesh for them on my northern boundary..... hmmm... will add them to the desired list when I send my swaplist out....

that's inspired Borlotti - i'll take pictures of them for my Christmas cards! Why didn't I think of that? Used to do that kind of thing before digital cameras came in. Took weeks of work then too .......
Great haul! well done you!
What a smashing lot, well done Roo XX Jeannine
some of the seeds were from you, Jeannine, so thanks! Mind you, the big orange pumpkins were supposed to be "Long Island Cheese" ;D oh, also the white beans are Tarbais, also from you.......
Hi again Roo, the only one in the picture that even looks a little like a Long Island cheese is the top centre one, they are very flat and round with slight ribs but not deep orange more like a burnt sienna colour. about 6 inches high and twice as wide.. If it is a cheese,, please don't eat it they are awful, coarse , lacking flavour and sugar so purely decorative, make good door stops though.
XX Jeannine
the top centre one should be a very unwarty Galeux d'Eysines, again seed from you.
could you have a look at the orange ones in the second picture (not the red kuri) and say if they're sugar pies? I didn't put labels out when I planted them......
lookin good RT ! And there was I thinking I had done well with my 8 little gems ::) :P
I'm impressed... what are the small blue/black ones? :-\
Saddad - they are the gem squash :)
Well having said that - that's what mine look like / what it said on the packet ::)
yes they're little gem from Simpsons........did I mention I got 100 ;D
