Title: Worth bringing aubergines inside?
Post by: caroline7758 on October 03, 2009, 10:16:42
I've got a couple of very healthy-looking aubergine plants in my greenhouse which are flowering but haven't produced any fruit yet. They won't get enough warmth out there now (no heat in the greenhouse) so I'm wondering if there's any chance of them fruiting if I bring them into the house. They are in black buckets so will take up some room so don't want to bother if it's a waste of time. Anyone tried this before?

I have a similar question except mine is outside so will have to be potted.

I'd give it a try with at least one plant as a learning experience if nothing else especially if you have a sunny window plus some electric lights frequently on in the area.

Nothing ventured nothing gained??

But to be honest I wouldn`t bother.  Save the space and energy for something else

If you do move them, I've noticed mine are very brittle so lots of care
