Well, here goes!! I joined in the last yrs one, and thought it was a good idea,
Shall we have another one this year?
(I can arrange it if you all want it to happen)
Sounds like a bit of fun to brighten up the winter.

Hi there, didn't do last year, but would love to have a go this year, have PM'd you... ;D
Add me to the list please ;D, will pm my addie.
Thanks Tony for organising
Tony, I'm trying not to be too dim (not done one of these before), but do we wait until the closing date to know who we are buying for? Just thinking ahead for buying/posting so Santa can deliver on time!
faberoo, count me in! Shouldn't it be gardening related?!! :-*
'tis easier if pressies are 'generic' and not too personal, otherwise it can be a bit wierd getting a personal pressie from a stranger!!
so, no sending m&s undies then? ;)
I did think of an Arsenal shirt for Cornykev, but as I am getting forgetful thought he might support Chelsea. ;D ;D ;D ;D Just bought myself a present on ebay, as it is raining.
Any of them two shirts arrive Borlotti they'll go straight on the comost pile with the other nuts. No objection to personals mind. ;) :P ;D ;D ;D
I'd like to join in too please, Tony.
PM sent.
Jo.
Yes please count me in, I set up the original secret santa swap 2007 and all seemed to enjoy. will send pm.
Cheers
trina
Count me in too please! i've not done this before looks like fun :)
is this bloomin' postal strike going to affect this, d'ya think?
i wouldn't have thought so, manics. we'll have to make sure everyone posts their pressie off nice 'n' early ;)
Ok, count me in-it is nearly November after all! ;D Have I missed the rules about price limits? I thinklast year wehad a limit for the present including postage, or was it a limit for the present and a limit for the postage? ???

and it's as the manics said, a fiver for the pressie.
Count me in please. Thanks.
Oh eck.. I am in Canada now so maybe I am not allowed.. especially as mine went missinhg last year, I did replace it thought so really I am a good guy. I can take a "no" quite gracefullly if the postage here is a concern..
XX Jeannine
i don't think anyone would mind posting to you jeannine!!
pm me your address for inclusion, please?
rgds, Tony
Count me in! pm sent!
The secret Santa is a lovely idea but wouldn't all those fivers be better spent on going to some Horticultural charity, always people trying to create allotment growing areas for people with disabilities.
It could be donated in the name of A4A.
Just an idea ;D
I'm already donating my time and effort to creating a new community garden for the local borough, (we got funding!)
Yes, it might be a good idea to organise us all giving something to another gardening charity, do you want to organise it Den??
I would still like to do this but would also support something charity based if you're thinking of organising it Den...
me too im up for both
I do not mind receiving and sending on money made out to a charity, everyone would have to agree first though on if they want to do that..........it just occurred to me that probally most of us on A4A are not short of a pressie at Christmas.......yes I know I am presuming but reckon it is a good guess.
First need everyone to agree, second, agree on where the money goes and three,if I did do it I would only accept a cheque made out to the charity,no cash.
See what other members have to say..............
can we do both, I've already bought the gift ;D
maybe we need a separate thread ?
Betula what a good idea, and well done for offering to do that.
I'd like to suggest Thrive, which is a small national charity that I support, that uses gardening and horticulture to change the lives of disabled people.
http://www.thrive.org.uk/
OK ,will put up a seperate thread and see what happens ;D
bump
Tonybloke, when are we going to be told who to buy for?
bump
Let me guess, thifasmom, you've got all your pressies boughtand wrapped already! ;D

ha! if only :) but I am trying to stay ahead of the game :-\.
last year i took great fun in researching the individual i had to buy for, by reading their most recent posts for any wished items they were hoping for and by checking out where there were situated, so i could make the present as personal as possible, after all Santa is suppose to know who we are, right? :)
For personal reasons I'd now like to bow out of this please.

OK Georgie, I take your name out of the hat!!

when they arrive do we post what we recieved?
it wouldn't be a secret then, would it? LOL
If everyone posts that they've sent, and everyone posts when they've received we don't need to know more than that, eh? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
that's the idea!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
I will not be telling.................and I dont want to be told....pointless it being SECRET then! :)
I'll say only one thing......mine is being posted on this afto ;D
Yes I know the santa is secret but it would be nice to know what everyone receives I don't expect the santa in question to say what they sent or to who! ::)

Mine still has not arrived.. XX Jeannine
Thank you secret santa for my calender of New Zealand flowers.
Just bumping this, I don't want whoever sent mine to think I am not responding but it still hasn't arrived
Tony managed to find out the one I sent did arrive though it was not posted so I got a bit worried but apparently the gift ws received.
I wonder if the person who mailed mine might want to take the receipt to the post office and say it has not been delivered, they would have given you a receipt as it is overseas, and you should be able to claim the costs back if it is missing. It may be a good idea if you reveal yourself in a PM and with some info about dates etc I can have post office check at this end, I hate to think of it sat in a post office somewhere waiting to be claimed
Anyway I will of course post as soon as it arrives if it does..
Thank you to who ever sent it, it was a nice thought anyway.
XX Jeannine
