Since it was raining today I decided to sort fridge/ freezer and larder. I found a quantity of cranberries at the bottom of the fruit drawer in my freezer that need to be used up* and just wondered if anyone has any favourite recipes for cranberries.
* dessert tonight is raspberry, blackcurrant and gooseberry trifle!! (other things needing finished). From last summer believe it or not. :-[ :-[ :-[
I can only find a recipe for cranberry crumble on search, Anne..they had been brewed for wine first so were boozy ;D

Cranberry Pie,Cranberry and Orange relish,Cranbery salad mould(with gelatin0, spiced cranberries, muffins(3 types),cranberry sorbet, chicken with cranberries, cranberry roast pork, cranberry and sweet potato souffle,cranberry banana bread,cranberrybiscuits,cranberry coffee cake,cranberry orange loaf.
I am certain I have more if you give me an idea what you want to do with them, I have used them in fruit cakes along with the raisins etc.

I tend not to have a sweet tooth, so anything savoury would be great. I currently use cranberries to make a spicy cranberry and orange sauce to go with venison, but I don't eat venison that often, so your sauce with chicken or roast pork would be great.
And, on second thoughts, I suspect my son, who lives wit me and has a VERY sweet tooth would appreciate muffins, biscuits or cranberry orange loaf.
So as much or as little of those as you wish when and if you have a moment .
