Title: planting through weed membrane
Post by: reddyreddy on October 01, 2009, 14:45:56
sorry, I'm going question crazy today!

Can I plant psb and broccoli through weed supressing membrane? I want to put them under a cage with enviromesh and don't want to have to move the  cage for weeding every week. Don't mind moving to pick it though!!  ;D

don't see why not, I planted some cabbages and kale through it, made planting holes etc, and they seem fine. for the PSB I've mulched with grass clippings etc so hopefully the weeds will be smothered

thanks for that 1066, I might go the grass clippings route too, better for the environment.  :)
