hi,depends how much sponge u want.1lb of Self raising flour,!lb of caster sugar,1lb of marge,8 eggs.
mix it all up till its amalgamated.chuck into a couple of greased and floured baking tins then into oven at 160 c till they are cooked.Bang out onto a wire rack to cool.Juice 4 lemons and mix with eneough icing sugar to make a syrupy liquid and drizzle over the cakes.
There you go easy peasy lemon squeesy.

changed my mnd, we've cooked up some conference pears in cinnamon and ginger so I put some lemon sponge on top, having one later after tea  ;D
