Title: Not laying as many
Post by: northener on September 24, 2009, 16:36:13
Anyone else noticed a decline in eggs? Got a mixed bunch of 11, last week was getting 6-7 a day. This week down to 2 at most 3. Not happy i'm letting my customers down. Dark nights drawing in?

Mine have started to slow down this last few days, guess they're getting ready to go into moult, but I'm hoping the new hatches from earlier this year may start to lay by December to see me over the winter months. I'm not happy about lighting the coop, I reckon if they've laid their butts off for the last eight months they deserve a bit of R and R to re-charge their batteries.  :)
