Title: wallpapers falling off

Just been "bottoming" the spare room for the grandchildrens fortnightly stay and the wallpaper around and under the window is coming away ::)it's all crusty like mounds of salt ::) ::)I don't think it's damp anybody any ideas...solutions ???

I expect it is the mineral salts being drawn out of the plaster by a bit of condensation. If it is a spare room I expect it is not aired as much as the rest of the house.

Peel the paper down gently, wash the wall in an a anti- fungal  wash, when it is dry paint it with pva to seal the wall, let that dry, then stick the paper back over it.
