Title: Loofah
Post by: ceres on September 15, 2009, 10:15:42
After dismal failures last year, I've actually got a decent sized loofah fruit growing.  The plant isn't very big and seems very sensitive to temperature - drops its flower buds whenever the weather gets a bit chilly.  Would probably do better in a greenhouse/poly.  Has anyone successfully got a back-scrubber from their plants?

That's so odd.  Mine is outside and is covered in flowers and has set quite a few fruit.  Wonder then if it doesn't like humidity, or something else......

i think mine ran out of pot space. shame really as this year would have been ideal for growing it outdoors as the weather was perfect for it.
