Nows the time to make this delicious elixir for salad dressings that remind us of summer.
1. Add fruit of choice into sterilised (milton) 4 pint milk container cover with white vinegar and leave for 1 week, shaking everyday.
2. After 1 week strain out the liquid into muslin or clean t towel and squeeze out all the juice.
3. Measure the juice and to each pint add 1lb of white sugar, then boil this up until slightly thickened, cool and bottle into sterilised cola bottles.
Store in the shed/garage.
One of the best salad dressings I have ever tasted and no oil, unless you add it!
Enjoy

I've made some this year as we had a bumper crop of blackcurrants. Apparently it's an old folk remedy for sore throats and colds as well as being delicious.
