Title: Red Spider Mites On My Aubergines!
Post by: Biscombe on September 12, 2009, 15:59:17
Awwwww my poor row of out door stunning monster aubergine plants! Just noticed mottling on the leaves, with a closer inspection fine webbing.

Oh Bum! Well it's commence into battle!

My plan is to ...............

1. Prune badly effected parts of the plants.

2. Spray heavily with the hose early evening, and place buckets of water under the plants to raise the humidity.

3. Prepare garlic and chilli spray and in 24 hours spray again.

4. Use neem on day 3

5. A week later If the buggers are still there pull up the plants!

Aphids are OK for the greenhouse, but can you use them outdoors, Tim?
