Title: Any easy, tasty recipes for marrows??
Post by: cacran on September 06, 2009, 20:26:25
I love courgettes but not as keen when they have turned into marrows. Having just returned from a week away, I find that I have now an abundance of them. I hate throwing them away and none of my friends want them. Can I turn them into someting tasty? ::)

Our mate gave us a 10lb courgette that thought it was a marrow and it's now bubbling away in 2 demijohns.....

We just cut ours up and take the seeds out cut em into chunks.Put some other veg with them like toms and onions etc and make soup. We freeze the soup in portions and take up to the plot to heat up for lunch. Infact today we took a big pot of it with us for us and the daughter and 3 grandkids and they loved it. We had Damson and apple pie with cream for afters.First years fruit from the trees
