Title: Courgettes
Post by: tim on October 13, 2004, 10:56:34
Some while ago, someone asked how many per plant.
20-25 was suggested.

Genovese has proved its worth for several years. I like its shape & colour.  This year it excelled itself. One plant set off in all directions &, if you count these, produced 74 fruit! My all time record. = Tim

PS Wish my camera would focus!!

Got to remember that name. I'll write it in my lottie book.
Are they a firm type Tim? I've had some yellow ones but they got so snotty when stir frying. I like a nice firm courgette with a strong skin so I usually choose the dark green type.

Too late - can't send you one!!

They suit all our purposes, but they are more delicate than the regular ones. = Tim

That is good news - I'm planning on growing them next year as I like the colour. Even more encouraged to pick that variety after 74!
