I have grown an indoor type cucumber for the first time this year (i think its called 'Defender' but not sure - that might be the name of the courgettes i am growing!). I have had a reasonable crop on it following regular watering and feeding with tomato fertilizer once a week. However of late the leaves have gone very pale and chlorotic looking and cropping has slowed to zero. is there anything i can do to restore the plants health or is this something i have to put up with at this time of year?
It seems to me as if it needs different food, but what? I have some concentrate liquid growmore I use occasionaly and also some Maxi crop. Would a dose of either of these do the trick?
Thanks

Snap. My harvest this year has been awful-where I am used to having a glut this year I am scratching for a few.
we gave ours a good feed of seaweed solution mixed with comfrey, seems to have perked them up, still look a bit sick but 3 new cucumbers this week with another 4 to come ;D
The crop has just about been enough for our needs. The fruits produced have been large and nice to eat, just not that many of them, now the foliage has gone yellow after just 3 such fruits have been produced.
In addition to the one plant in the green house i also have 1 plant outside (its an indoor type that can be grown outdoors). This has been affected by the poor weather (particularly wind damage), so have not expected much from it. it has however produced one fruit and the leaves are looking healthier than the indoor plant
I have some 'maxicrop' liquid feed which should be the next best thing to your homemade seaweed/comfrey feed. I think i will give the plants a dose and see if it helps. Tomato food is ok to encourage fruiting but it doesn't do much for the overall growth/health of the plant.
Thanks for replies.
