mega-sized apples!

We harvested all the remaining Bramleys from our tree today and some of them are huge!!

I am so envious of your apples. I planted a Bramley this year and so far nothing but I live in hope. Your picture has given me something to look forward to.

Have almost forgotten what rain looks like here too - another bone dry plot! Am trying to keep a few things watered - e.g. yard long beans  ;D - way over the top of their wigwam but no flowers yet - but fear its a losing battle.

We had a hot spell in July and no rain for about 2 weeks. Since the it has rained for the majority of Aug with the odd couple of hot days!

only thing doing well are the celierac  haven't had to water once...think we've had about 3 dry rain free  days here in wales since the middle of July  :(
