I wonder if anyone has had experience with the new Google Chrome Browser. What I have read so far is from Google, and sounds good, but that’s what sales articles are supposed to do.

Chrome has rapidly become my favourite browser. I've personally found it a quick and stable application, with none of the bloat of the other browser applications. (no add-ons, search engine toolbars, or smiley hacks)
The only website I've had any trouble with is the parkrun results pages, which i use IE for.
I have been for a long time a Firefox fan but recently i happened to download some software from Google and accidentally got Chrome with it. so i decided to try it out. After a few teething troubles with favorites/bookmarks and generally learning where everything is, it seems pretty good. only a couple of niggles.
firstly when typing onto a webpage, it sometimes goes back a page when i hit the backspace button on the keyboard rather than going back in the text i am typing. second it doesn't seem to be as good at offering to save passwords for web logins (such as for a4all) as firefox. it will save them Ok but wont always give you the option to do it.
But as i say, these are only a couple of niggles and otherwise i like it.
my son has just installed chrome for me, he reckons it's much quicker than internet explorer, only just started using it so, we'll see :)
i got it downloaded yesterday but then didn't know what to do with it ;D
staying with firefox
I've been using it on my PC for ages and I can't fault it. I have Firefox too but don't use IE. On my laptop I use Safari.
I'm a bit concerned that Google might take over my life. I swapped to Firefox to get away from the everything-microsoft thang, don't want to fall into another fix.
I have now tried Chrome out for a number of days and can say that i am pretty pleased with it. It seems a lot faster than IE or even Firefox (especially to load up).
My only problem with it is that it does not work with my PC 'clean up' software (Webroot Window Washer 6.5) which clears out my internet cache for me. I have to use the cleanup facility on Chrome which isn't as good I don't think.
PS: Does anyone use Window Washer and know of any way to get it to work with Chrome? Thanks.
I use the Seamonkey suite.
Downloaded it this morning & am now trying to work it all out - so far so good.
il stick with firefox it works for me and i have very few problems with compared to IE
I did have one bigish problem with it the other day, which later seemed to right itself. I wanted to veiw and print from a PDF page on a website. It would not load because for some strange reason the Adobe/Acrobat plugin had stoped working. This is needed to veiw PDFs on websites, and i could not see how to reload or reinstall the plugin, something that is quite easy to do on Firefox.
