I am always amazed at what does grow so well here in such extreme temperatures.
These will soon be coming into blossom, can't remember do they grow in UK???

They certainly do. They're not my favourites, but maybe I need to look at them more closely.

They're wonderful! 8) A lady I garden for has an immense patch of them in her front garden and every year people are amazed to see 'spring flowers' in the autumn :o...here, it's too early for hers to be appearing yet, but I look forward to seeing them appear.
