i have just noticed i have brussels sprouts ready for picking. ;D

If they are ready eat them now... it would be a shame if they blew and went to seed before..

My Maximus sprouts are about ready for harvesting but I will leave them till first week in September.  Last year my mate left sprouts that were ready from September, alone till the frosts, not realising they needed picking.  Hence to say he lost the lot as they all blew.

According to the TOGS, they should have been in the pan weeks ago, otherwise they'll be tough on Christmas Day!.

You might get away with putting them in the pressure cooker!
