Title: Quite proud
Post by: chriscross1966 on August 10, 2009, 02:55:51
Tonight, everything I ate for tea I grew myself.... barring the fusilli (my fusilli harvest won't be in until mid october this far north...)
Onions, carrots, (the inevitable) courgettes, green beans, herbs and tomatos in the pasta sauce and the tomato and cucumber salad....yum....

Well done Chris! 8)

I'm ploughing through a lot of 'fresh' garlic at the moment, bulbs that I'm trying to use up as they were slightly damaged or had a bit of rot so no good to store...garlic with everything! My tomatoes are only just really getting going though, so the sauces I made last night had to be topped up with tinned, but otherwise we are eating 'lottie style' most nights now. Glad we've just got a bigger freezer so I can actually preserve some stuff now for overwinter! ;D

We have a huge freezer, but it's not nearly big enough.  Could do with another  ::) ::) ::)
