Title: Discoloured cauliflower head
Post by: brian4951 on August 09, 2009, 20:07:52
I have noticed that one of my cauliflowers has some partially black florets. It looks like someone has dusted them with soot. It doesn't rub off and the florets are very firm. They were OK a couple of days ago. Has anyone any ideas please?

Brian,
I'd suggest the wet weather. Turn a leaf over the curd, it'll keep the head from yellowing & keep it drier. The curd should eat O.K.

Hi Telboy,
Thanks for the reply. I did put leaves over the curds. There only seems to be just the one plant affected at the moment. Others I've picked have been beautifly white.

Regards
Brian
