Ok it might just work with the rose wine but remember the Southern Comfort is very sweet !! If you like to experiment ...go ahead.

I do like experimenting but am worried that it will not taste good! Has anyone got another beef casserole recipe? that doesnt ask for brandy?

Just leave it out- the wine will be enough to give it plenty of flavour, I would think.

I never put alcohol in any of my food... don't need to if you get good quality meat and fresh veg from you plot  :)

but then i do have a problem with alcohol evaporating from when the cork comes out i turn around to put some in the meal and its gone ;)

I prefer to have glass buy the plate then to cook with it :)
