Had a couple of onions with white rot, but not been a bad year really........

Linda you're really rubbing it in . >:(we can't grow any sort of onion 'cos they all rot.even the one's that look ok on the outside are rotten in the middle :(
and to top it all even the spring onion my OH's favourite are rotting as well :'( :'(

Yep a Good crop Of Onions this year if they store ok  now  :)

Oh Macmac didn't mean to upset you :'(.  I don't like raised beds but, just a theory here, if white rot is in the soil and you build a raised bed above it with new soil high enough for the onion roots not to come in contact with the old soil, is it possible to bypass white rot for a few years, just a thought?
