Title: More Pumpkins - Turks Turban
Post by: Digeroo on July 29, 2009, 18:16:26
I am growing Turks Turban and some of the pumpkin are green, so I had thought they would turn yellow later but now one of the plants is growing yellow ones.  Do you think the greens ones will change colour.  They are quite big already.

Have read they are rather thin on the flesh, and there seems to be a variety of opinion as to whether they have good or poor flavour.  Has anyone grown these?

While I have not grown them, I have seen seed for mixed colours of Turks Turban. Their colours will continue to change as they ripen.

I have grown them - good for autumn decoration as should turn stripey, but not so good for cooking.
