Title: Leonotis leonurus ?
Post by: Susiebelle on July 28, 2009, 10:53:06
Has any one got a few of these seeds they could spare? I have lots of seeds available to swop, nothing unusual though sorry :-[
I would be happy to pay postage and pop in a few flower or veg seeds.
in return.
Here's keeping my fingers crossed.

Neither Poppy, honest ya honor ;D ;D

I have picked it up from the Amateur Gardening for late summer colour, it's supposed to be like a giant stinging nettle in early stages before developing huge tawny-orange whorls of flowers, picture reminded me of the phlomis flower.

I have some plants too, I'm sure I saw some seed pods last time I passed them in the garden, would they stay true to form I saved the seeds? If the answer is yes, you could have some of my seeds.

I have no idea as to their care as I am growing them for the first time myself. If you have the space I would suggest growing them on in pots under cover.

Quote from: OffsiteFull or partial sun, grows to 1-3' in container, minimum temperature 35°, blooms in fall.
