This week marks the 10th anniversary of my parents (who married in '69) initiating divorce proceedings. Suffice to say they've made each of their respective solicitors extremely wealthy.  ???

Glad to hear that you & the Mr have a more positve event to mark. ;)

Yep Monday the 27th of July, three years of glorious bliss :)
Cant wait to celebrate, got a little cottage booked in the Cotswolds, we leave on Sunday :)

After doing 1981 to 2001 in less unfavourable circumstances with a less unsavoury ex husband , I more than treasure what I have now  ;D

Well done Mr and Mrs Manic, enjoy your day x x x

Congratulations to you and Ray. Enjoy your few days away. We managed 50 years but although I lost Charlie 3 months later I have always known how lucky we were to have had so many years together. ( he was a cradle snatcher I was only 14 when he first took me to the pics :). I hope you have many more years together.

Well done manicscousers.  :)

Tracy and I have been together 23 years and married 18, which isn't bad to say I'm now 40, I think the key to longevity is to let a woman nag all she wants and over time to learn to listen when you need to.  ignore what you can, answer you must, and smile when you forgot when it was time to listen, ignore or answer!!

Going to my sister's golden wedding do in August, and my friend, I forgot the date, had her 53rd wedding anniversary last week, went to her Golden, all lovely people.  I was bridesmaid at my sisters wedding, she is 11 years older than me, have to think of a good present.  I have been divorced and with OH for over 25 years, but we are not married, but we do OK.

Wishing all of you continued happiness, love and peace in your marriages/partnerships.

Mr Banshee and I have celebrated 21 years this year - not bad considering we were only together 6months before marrying and saw each other for just 5 weeks of that! Many family and friends said we would split within the first 6 months of marriage - most of those that felt that way have gone on to split with their own spouses/partners whilst we are still going strong. He is my best friend, confidante, and a gem of a husband all rolled into one. The vicar that married us said that people should not look at how life would be with the person you are marrying in it, but to look at what it would be like without them in it. I agree with that - without him in my life, I would not be living, but merely existing.

Again, love and blessing to you all for continued happiness, give each other a hug and let them know how special they are to you  :)
