Title: riesentraube tomatoes
Post by: angle shades on July 22, 2009, 00:40:48
:) I'm growing these for the first time, the flowers and fruit are like bunches of grapes.

when I googled them it said the flower wouldn't set fruit if the temperature dropped.

Has anyone else grown them? do I have to look after them differently to other toms?

They are in a cold greenhouse, thanks / shades x

Yes, but I can't remember much about them - perhaps not outstanding enough to be remembered  ::)

I have some Dattelwein outside which look very similar to your riesentraube.  Lots of flowers but some of the trusses haven't set too well. As it's some trusses but not all, I suspect you're right about the temperature affecting setting.
