Title: Carrot fly season over?
Post by: lewic on July 15, 2009, 07:54:38
Just wondering if it is safe to remove the netting from my carrot bed? Have heard the flies arent so active in late summer. There are a lot of weeds in amongst the carrots, and taking the net off will also make it easier to thin them.

No there's another laying period to come... Take the net off and weed on a damp evening, when they are less active, then put it back the same evening..  :)
