Title: when do you take the tops of your spuds?

When should this be done?, ive had to cut a few tops of which had blighted leaves but when should i do the rest?

Hi Phil,if you have blight the whole lot should be cut off and harvest ASAP.

However you do not have just a few blighted leaves so I think you mean damaged by other things.

As far as I am aware there is no need to cut the foliage off,just leave it.

Agh right thanks, just a few of them had gone yellow with brown spots on them so thought they were blighted and removed them , will keep a close eye on them and keep removing them if they get worse

When the foliage goes down that is the sighn that your spuds are ready,always used that method myself.
