If you have a large branch of Tesco near you - they're doing large flexi-tubs in black for £1.69 each - make excellent planters, I have grown lettuces and beans in them this year with great success.
cheers,
H
The lurid yellow (42l) ones are 25p at the mo'. Probably not as aesthetically pleasing as the black, but if you need a flexi-tub for lugging stuff around they'll do the job.
Bought 4 of the bright yellow ones on Friday at our Tescos. They were 75p. Must depend on which part of the country you are in for the price. :)

I bought some yellow one's for 75p last weekend (the black ones were £3-ish at that point), yesterday both had been reduced further. ;) Mind you, my local store still had shelves full of the things; they were probably desperate to free up the space for new stock. :D
Late July = gardening stuff - out, back to school stuff - in (even before the kids have broken up for the hols).
Gardening bargains should be appearing at a store near you !
And thats not just Tesco, check out Wilko's, their normally good for a bargain this time of year.
For those SAA members - Get yer running shoes on for the stamped for those reduced price seeds.
