My Wallflower seed heads seem to be taking forever to go completely dry and brown. I could really do with using the container they are in so would it be okay to dry off the stems in the shed do you think?

If you want reliable results you have to be patient and wait till nature says they are ready. Pods should be dry, straw coloured and open easily when touched.
Thanks. But what I really want to know is do they need to dry on the plant or can they be removed to dry off indoors?

When faced with such a situation I have pulled up the whole plant and stacked them somewhere cool and dry to finish off!
Then when dry as Eroistic described, I collect the seed.
I find this way better than just removing the pods!
Although ideally its best to let nature take its course!

Thanks TG. I think I've learned a lesson here. Next year I won't grow my Tulips and Wallflowers in my prized containers! ;D
