Title: Flower stalks turning yellow?
Post by: Gobby on July 07, 2009, 20:17:23
Have a few differant chilli plants in the greenhouse, all doing well apart from one, it flowers and the fruit sets absolutly fine, but soon after this the stalk the fruits on turns yellow and the lot just falls off the plant.

Seems to me it's just like an apple tree dropping it's fruit if it has too many, but this is happening to every fruit that sets.

The plant looks fine and gets an occasional feed of standerd tomato fertilizer.

Any idea's?

Have you tried hand pollinating? May appear to have set but not managed it... if not I'd suggest a cold draft...  :-\

Have seen the start of the chilli's so pollination seems ok, have moved the plant to the back of the greenhouse though so we shall see. Thanks :D
