Title: Plans and drawings for a handcart
Post by: daxzen on July 02, 2009, 13:15:03
I am hoping that the knowledgeable and intrinsically inventive members of this form will be able to point me at least in the right direction.

I am doing everything I can to use my vehicles less and I walk more than I ever did.

I need to be able to transport things to and from my plot without recourse to my truck etc

the answer is a a handcart!

I want to make a hand cart - anyone out there with any ideas, plans or photos please help

I literally don't want to re-invent the wheel.

Now this takes me back.

As lads in Hull, we made "bogies" out of old prams and bits of wood.

Then there were "rag-and-bone-men". One had a horse, but others just had hand carts.

We've moved on a little in the meantime daxzen, but I think you need to tell us about the volume you'd like to carry, and the weight. We'll take it from there.

In the meantime, derdge the canal for a shopping cart  ;D

How about one of those three wheelers you see in Italy, you know, with a moped engine and a cab for one small person? Or a clapped out motor rickshaw from Colombo?
