Tell him to hop it!

I would find that so annoying & fwiw, pigeons have never touched my runners.

Went down last night and found most of them gone.I was annoyed Ollie. We back onto open fields.I think I am going to try and ring my plot with rabbit fence. This will be really expensive though. You do get so disheartened when this happens.Yesterday they had bitten off a beautiful rose, found it just lying on the ground. :(

Now that is truly annoying! and after all your hard work! A friend of mine suffers badly from rabbits eating all the veg - leeks, beans, pretty much anything, it sounds like a constant battle to try and stop them getting into the veggie beds. Maybe someone on here might have some suggestions to prevent them chomping away?

We used to have a bit  of a rabbit problem at our allotments.  That was until a family of foxes moved near our plot. See a hazy picture of one of our foxy friends on our allotment website.

Sure its rabbits? looks like pigeon damage to me.

Fencing your plot in doesn't need to cost that much, I begged wood and wire mesh ( it was from an aviary) and only spent around a pound on nails.

I do raid skips Mick but do not know anyone I can beg stuff off.

I was thinking of buying chicken wire or invest in a few cages.I have a double plot so it is a big area.

The rabbitson our site seem to laugh at chicken wire.

I know its hared but could you ask other plot holders if they have any bits they don't want? my fence looks poor but its strong and nothing can get in. (including me if Tracy has shut the gate the night before!!)

It happened to my runners a couple of years - I went on holiday beginning of July and came back to find them all bitten off about a foot high.  Now I just put up a temporary chicken wire fence around the runners every year when I plant them out and roll it up again when they`re finished.  It makes for a bit of awkward (at my age) bending when any weeding is required but worth the trouble.

The pigeons had a go at my peas, but they're recovering now they've been planted out.

The pigeons in our garden walk along the fence and bite the rosebuds off our climbing rose.. The squirrells eat the hyacinth bulbs too.
