Title: rose petal jam!!!

When i was away last week i found a recipe for Rose Petal Jam.....mmmmmmmmmmm. Here is the recipe:-

1/2 lb rose petals
1/2 lb sugar
4 tbsp water
1 dessert sp orange juice
''     ''       '' Lemon juice


Remove the white 'heel' at the base of the petals. Place the petals in a pan and add the sugar, juices and water. place over a low hear until sugar is dissolved. Bring to the boil and boil rapidly until setting point is reached. cool slightly before puoring into warm, sterilised jars and cover and seal immediately.

Fortnums and Masons do Rose petal jam and charge a small fortune for a small pot!  Hoorah for making your own!!  ;D

Hi there,
      the book was only £1.25 and it has got loads of recipes for jam and chutney, one of the recipes is for Orange and Strawberry curd (bet it's nice in little pies.)
