Beautiful Shirl.
How lovely Shirl, and I can smell them from here!
Our first proper bunch today as well, not as good as those though! :)
Beautiful, wish I could grow them like that!
What a joy..................a lovely summer perk ;D
Lovely well done. Still only getting a very few. They seem to have been very slow to take off. Most of mine are dark varieities, do you tand to be later.
How are all of those I sent seeds to progressing. I haven't heard from any of you. Did you forgrt to put your seeds in during October ::)
sniff...yum =]
Ooh, Shirl- that has reminded me to thank you sooo much for the seeds you sent me. First timeI've ever had success with annual sweet peas (the perennial ones are taking over the garden)- and the smell is amazing!Must remember to save some seed for next year.
Do saved seed come up true to type?
So pleased that the seeds were ok Caroline. and yes Digeroo they do come true.
wonderful a true smell of summer shame they don't last long in water though
Well you have to pick them to keep them flowering. I don't pick until all of the flowers are out so I have the beauty of them on the plant for a while and then in the house.As soon as they have gone over I have another vase full. I do give quite a lot away. I have found the sweet pea is a great way to lift someones spirits when they are a bit down.
i've tried to grow them for years in the garden at home but no success, doing better up the plot can't wait to pick mine
Lovely! Mine are about 6 inches tall.. dont think they like being in semi-shade!
Mine are not very tall but growing well..................I broadcast them a bit late.They will look lovely against an old crowd barrier I have on the lottie.
Don't tell Borlotti though............ ;D
