Title: Freezing rhubarb.

Is it possible to freeze rhubarb to use later on in the year to make chutney, or will go to mush.

Last year I froze rhubarb in chunks and stewed it earlier this year with no problems. Sorry - no idea about making chutney.

 Yes i freeze loads of Rhubarb use it all year round, for crumble & pie etc: ;D

I am pleased this question has come up.  I best start picking the rest of the crop before the plant starts dieing down.  I have rhubarbplenty to freeze 8) 8)

 I always half cook my Rhubarb before freezing it no sugar add that & orange juice when i use it. ;D
