There was a local schools district youth athletics competition in progress this morning just over from my allotment. One of the teachers was reading off the names of the schools taking part over the loud speaker.
Samuel Peepees he said for Samuel Pepys...surely a teacher knows how to pronounce a very well know name!
Still it was a good laugh for me to cheer me up after all the bad news I had this morning.
Having just spent three days rebuilding my fence and gate after the Town council delivered manure heaps on top of my fence last autumn plus an extra access for getting manure in straight into a pallet bin I am now told I am losing the vehicle access to the front of my plot. It will now be down a currently unaccessible track at the back which they claim they are going to make accessible.
