Title: Venison?
Post by: tim on June 09, 2009, 09:16:41
Not that keen, a bit like Liver in texture & flavour - which I prefer - but Wife loves it.

But it did a very nice Carbonnade.

I grew up eating wild venison and find the farmed stuff a bit tame!

Oh, them - we have a herd about 4 miles away that run wild.

But no - save the car!

No not on purpose.....nearly got one on the way to the hospital one day!

Make a big dent if you did.

I think they visit our allotment site...either that or we have giant rabbits.

its a bit expensive for me but I love it.  Well seasoned - rubbed with olive oil and cooked for one min on a very hot pan.  Raw in the middle -  burnt bits on the outside mmmmmm drool..
